Updating and uninstalling

The update notice inside the app (the easy way)

The app checks the website every 6 hours. When a new version is out, Update available shows at the top of the panel. Click it, read what is new and click Download and install: the file is downloaded, its fingerprint checked, and the installer opens in update mode. Your messages, settings and licence stay as they are. Nothing installs without your click.

Updating by hand

1. First click Back up now (Security page).
2. Stop the app (right-click the DMAI Pro icon next to the clock).
3. Run the new version’s Setup.exe and choose the same folder as before. The old app is stopped and replaced by itself. The data folder (all your data, settings and licence) is not touched.
4. Click the DMAI Pro shortcut.

Uninstalling

Use Windows Settings → Apps → DMAI Pro → Uninstall (or Uninstall.bat in the folder). The app is stopped, and the shortcuts, auto-start and its entry in the Windows app list are removed. The folder and your data are not deleted. If you no longer need them, delete the folder yourself (first make a copy of data\backups).
